There is an incredibly amount of profanity now in ever area I go. It is disgusting. It's rude, its harsh and its annoying to us who would like to live in a world where profanity is gone. Along with materialism in America comes stereotypes. we all stereotype the samrt kids, the skaters , the preps, the kocls and such. Even by having those names we stereotype, because that is what we know them by, we do not consider how complex their lives must really be. It seems that our culture has become so entrapped in materialism. I realize that our government is a capitalistic government and that as such, there will be some degree of materialism. I believe that if the materialism in America were not  so much, then there would not be so many poor people. We would be more willing to give to tohers. I believe abortion is wrong in every aspect. I believe it is killing a person and that mothers should not have an abortion when they were not responisble and gave into a moment of pleasure. But at the same time, my religion teaches me to respectful of freedom and agency. While I am one of the few in my religion who aplies it like thiseven though there is no doctrine saying that we shoud ban it, although it says we should not participate in it , I beilieve that the government should not be allowed to restrict abortions.  Read More »

The divorce rate has risen substantially in the last 20 years. There was a time, not too far off, that  divorce was almost unheard of. Now, nearly one half or marriages die with divorce. And most of them last for no longer than 3 years. Many people get married and really have no intent of staying married for all of their lives. Marriage is no longer something sacred to everyone. Sometimes I wonder if the world has really learned much from its past. For some reason, the world just can not come together and cooperate to fight the problems of the world. While we are busy fighting something  that is not much of a threat to us, thousands of people die in Sudan of genocide. WHy can we not do anything about this problem? It is a huge problem. New Line Cinema is starting to think about doing the Hobbit. I am so happy. The Lord of the Rings were great movies. The books were even better, but that is always the case. The Hobbit was even better than Lord of the Rings. It would make for an awesome movie.

One thing that appeals to me is the ideal of sacrifice and the morality that comes with it. It is one of the major themes in Lord of the Rings. Hobbit also contains this. it also contains the theme about moving out of your comfort zone and helping others. Bilbo must leave the Shire and do things that most  hobbits would never want to or even think of doing.    I love these books and they are absolutely brilliant books. I advise everyone read these books at least once in their lifetime. Reading the book will make the movie all the much better because it will increase your understanding of what is happening and why. It also explains tolkens world better.

Will Smith is coming out with a new movie called Pursuit of Happiness. It looks like a good film. I think the plot displays what America is really about. That one does not have to stay within their circumstances. As long as they are willing to work, they can improve themselves and live a good life. I hope that all of you are able to see this movie as I am most definitely going to see it. I know capitalism has its faults and it does feed to the rich. It is the Survival of the Fittest. I still think capitalism is good to an extent because of things like this. One can become strong through work. I like this principle that work is all one requires.
