Britney filed for divorce.

Tagged:

TMZ obtained the legal papers, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.

As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Oct. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees.

Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events."

Spears has hired powerhouse celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has repped a number of celebs, including Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey and Kiefer Sutherland. We're told Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe asked Wasser to rep both of them in their split, but Wasser declined for personal reasons.  Read More »

There are reasons I am a cold hearted bitch.

Tagged:  •

I've always felt a little guilty for being known as the bitchy girl. I never chose to be a bitch, it's just something that happened. My friends love me for it, my enemies think I'm...well, a bitch. It's kind of a win win situation. Today I was really thinking about the reasons WHY I am the way I am, and i figured it out, I got sick of people stabbing me in the back. I used to be a sweet little girl who loved and trusted eeryone. Now I'm cynical, older, and don't trust ANYONE. There were a few people I trusted but they turned it back on me and dissed me.  Read More »

A music video you HAVE to watch.

Tagged:  •    •

My mother just told me about this video of Robert Cray's for the song 20. I suggest you all go watch it, http://www.robertcray.com. The soldier in it is actually somone who went over to Iraq with my mom and left as a conscientious subjector. I met him once and he seemed like a cool guy. He grew up over there and left because he couldn't handle all the horrible things that he saw.  Read More »

How fat can we get?

Tagged:  •

It appears that a new deep fried delicasy is being added to our normal 'fair food' menu. Fried Coca-Cola. Yep. Apparently this guy made some kind of batter with the coke syrup, fried it, added more syrup plus whip cream, cinnamon sugar, and some other stuff (my memory is failing me, sorry). The guy doesn't know exactly how many calories are in it, I'm guessing in the upper 900s though, but he's hoping that next year he'll come up with a lower calorie version made with diet coke for those watching their waistlines. So we now add this to a very gourmet menu of fried twinkies, funnel cakes, fried candy bars, french fries, etc. It looks like Americans will eat anything- as long as it's fried. I admit I liked the one fried twinkie I have had in my life time. It was pretty good. Made me a little sick since I'm not used to the fatty foods, but it was pretty tasty. Funnel cakes though are just fried dough. In small amounts they're ok but have you ever seen the ones you get at Carnivals? They are HUGE. I can't eat them anymore because my last 2 attempts have ended up in....well, a mess.  Read More »

Where has childhood gone?

Tagged:  •

It seems that in todays society childhood is being put on the back burner in favor of growing up to quickly. A recent study (I don't know which one and I don't remember where I read it) found that due to all the "stimulants" children these days recieve our brains are wired completely different than children of the past. Parents see the television as a babysitter and don't see it necessary to teach them important skills required to succeed in life. If i ever have children they are going to get strictly educational toys and the only TV they will watch will be The Discovery Channel. It just seems ridiculous to me. Most TV does not engage the children, it just socially stunts them. We are heading for a world of people who wont be able to communicate with each other.  Read More »

I hate stupid people.

I was thinking about this earlier as I was laying on the sofa while the jocks in my first period were probably going over the SAT Question of the day. I am unfortunate enough to have first period math with all the "star" football players. Lucky me right? Well anyway, I was thinking about this boy that they torture when he comes in to collect our attendance. This boy's parents are Wiccan,  and they own the local Witchery (who would've thought that MY town would tolerate such a thing)(which, ironically, is right across the street from the Christian Training Camp). All  this guy's life I'm sure he has been tormented because of how he was raised. I'm fairly new so I was asking around about them to see why the football players had such a negative view of him. It turns out he and his siblings have been telling people that they'll put a spell on them if they talk crap to them or about them. Which led me to my next thought, why would these people who are a part of such a good and loving religion claim that? I'm sure that any Wiccan here can agree with me that Wiccan's have had to overcome lots of diversity in order to be sort of accepted in a few places. Why would these people let other people believe that Witches are exaclty how they are portrayedin the media? One jock in particular now calls the boy Narnia. I'm pretty much certain that the movie has no similarities to real witches. I understand that they say those things to protect themselves and to put a wall up but if it was me I'd see it as an oppertunity to teach those bible thumping hypocrites what Wicca was really about. I tried but i just ended up flustered and pissed. Later on one of my firends told me that Jock was all upset because someone had called him a dumb close minded jock and she had told him that if it fits, why was he upset. After I said something to her about it (for being one of the "popular" people she's pretty cool) she knew immediatly that it was me.  Read More »

Waiting On The World To Change

Tagged:  •

Has anyone heard the John Mayer song Waiting On The World to Change? I feel like that a lot. I feel helpless that I can't change the world just sitting here. I also feel that I don't have the means to do what I want to do. I keep telling myself that as soon as I get the chance I'm going to do something that impacts the world. I want to make this place a better place for my future children to live. I don;t want all the polution and crime and violence going on. I feel guilty that I'm just sitting back in luxery while all that stuff is going on and other people are out there actually making a difference.  Read More »
