teens and drugs

Tagged:  •    •

1,400 teens die from drug overdose every year. Drugs have taken a big toll on teens. Peer pressure is one of the main causes for so many teens using drugs. No matter what your friends or enemies have told you, doing or selling drugs does not make you cool. It makes you stupid. Why would you put something into your body that you know could only hurt you?

Bullies

Bullies are taking over schools. It's no joke how much torment they cause so many of their peers. Bullies are the ones blamed for most school shootings and they should be blamed. This is because most school shooters are outcasts and loners. They shoot up their schools because they are tired of being tormented and picked on.

Safe in School

I see that some other people have brought up some good points about the recent school shooting epidemic. I agree that it is a major problem. How can we even feel safe in our schools anymore. School shootings are happening everywhere and it seems to get worse every day. You could go to school and get caught in the crossfire.

Teen Pregnancy

Teen pregnancy is a big issue in the world today. Most teens aren't responsible enough to take precautions and use protection. Having sex is a big responsibility and a big decision your first time. Sex is not a game, although, it seems like everyone is doing it, it's still a matter that needs to be taken very seriously.

Rape in America

Tagged:

Another issue that I see young people facing is the amount of rapes that occur in the U.S. With the number of pedophiles rising, no one is safe. Teens, young adults, and children are at a high risk. Teenage girls can't even walk down the sidewalk without being whistled at or otherwise harassed. Even boys and men aren't safe against rape and sexual assault any more.

School Shootings

One of the biggest issues that I see teens and young adults facing in America today is school shootings. Basically, it all started with the Columbine High School shooting. Following Columbine was the shooting at Virginia Tech University. More recently was the shooting at Northern Illinois University. Now, ever since the NIU tragedy, schools all over have been experiencing death threats.
