Pope Benedict XVI held a Mass on Wednesday at one of the holiest Christian places in Turkey as part of his efforts to reach out to the Roman Catholic minority in the mostly Muslim country.
The pontiff conducted the open-air Mass next to the ruins of a house where the Virgin Mary is thought to have spent her last years.
Security forces had sealed off the area and only 250 invited guests attended, making it one of the smallest crowds to attend a papal Mass. (Watch pope give blessing at Virgin Mary site

IRVING, Texas - While Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells only asked his players to report to The Ranch on Friday for a little lifting and running following Thursday's 38-10 victory over Tampa Bay, the personnel department did not rest.

Berger has played in only three games during his brief NFL career, and had not been active for any games this season. Berger is the second guard the Cowboys have claimed in a week, picking up Travis Leffew from Green Bay earlier in the week. Both players would appear to be moves made for the future. Read More »

Okay, what is this huge controversy about people always ratting on mothers about the care of their children? Why are they always saying that someone should take their children away? .home-page-only { DISPLAY: none }Britney Spears has filed a petition for divorce from Kevin Federline.
TMZ obtained the legal papers, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.
As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Oct. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees.
Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman's show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events." Read More »
