 In the 1950’s American Society as we know it today began to take shape. Shortly after World War 2, veterans returned to the states with two things on their minds. Starting a family and going to college. Before the war most of the people attending college were women. After the war 50% were men and women, starting the current Co-ed campus to develop.

There is a crisis, no make that an emergency, amongst the poorest countries in the world. Africa has millions of people dying from severe starvation and things as simple as mosquito bites because there is not enough medicine for the people. There are children that never go to school because they cannot afford it. The price of a CD could pay for six months of school for one child.

The women’s suffrage movement took place in the 1900’s. It took years for women to gain the right to vote in the US. There were many obstacles along the way but one of the main roadblocks came from other women. It was the Suffrages, (women for the right to vote) against the antisuffrages (women against the right to vote).

Unexplained Mysteries is a show that Henry Winkler helped create. In this particular episode UFO's Target Earth, the focus is on the Roswell Crash in 1947.
