Is it too much to ask for?

"I just want to be tolerated!"

It's a line I hear often from a rather large amount of my gay/lesbian/bi friends; a line that resonates throughout the overal LGBT community. So, I find myself guiltily wondering, is it selfish of me to want more?

Diversity in America: Melting Pot, Trail Mix, or other?

I never thought that my town was all that diverse; after all, it was something I grew up with, something I was used to.
