School Blogs?

Tagged:  •

At the beginning of this school year I started a school blog. I had the supervision of the technology teacher, and it was hosted by a site with no advertisements that was for teachers only. Well the teacher that was supervising set it up under his name and everything and told me to 'run with it' because he thought I had a great ability and amazing potential.  Read More »

Teenage drug abuse

Teenage Drug abuse

If you go into a middle school or high school you don’t really realize how much drugs are being abused. If you are a teenager you know because when you walk down the hallway you get offered many different types. They say “meet me in the field after school, in the far corner. I’ll give them to you if you give me the money now.” You will reply either “Okay”, or “No. Not for me.” And either way it could ruin your life. If you say Okay then you are getting yourself into drugs that ruin your brain. They literally eat your brain cells until eventually there aren’t any left. Yet if you say no then they could bug you forever. You’d get teased, and possibly considered un-cool. But is it as bad as getting killed over something so that while you are alive you are considered cool? Not really.  Read More »

Teenage Pregnancy

Teenage Pregnancy

My friend *Kyle has a friend that is 14. He is 14 as well. She had a boyfriend and they had intercourse. She ended up getting pregnant from it. She is currently 2 months pregnant and she is going to have the kid. Now you'd probably be wondering why I even mentioned Kyle. He isn’t the boyfriend, or the father. They aren’t related in any way. He is a very nice guy that cares more for others than he does for himself. When he heard the news he was devastated. It turns out that the real father doesn’t want anything to do with this child. *Stacy, the 14 year old mother, feels that the child needs a male influence. Now when Kyle heard the news at first he decided to get a part time job to help Stacy out. She thought that this was a very kind thing for someone to do. Especially a teenage male. She decided to ask him if he was willing to be the Childs 'Father'. Of course they would have no blood relation at all, after all the real father had taken off. Kyle had no idea what do say. She had given him a month to decide. It has been a couple days now, and he has no idea. He can’t decide what to do, so he explained the situation and asked me what I would do in a situation such as this. I simply replied after a while of thinking about it. "You are not related to this child in any way. You can still help them out, but you do not need to be considered the father. Either way this child will love you the same for it will know that you are not its real father. Even if you don’t tell it then it will soon realize that you look nothing alike. It is really sweet that you want to help them out. That is a good idea. But at your age, and seeing how you had nothing to do with the conceiving of this child, you shouldn’t have to put yourself through being the father. At your age you are still not ready for it. At this time you need to pay attention to yourself, not help raise a child that you have no blood relations to." He simply replied. "Yeah. True."  Read More »

Terrorism in today's society

Terrorism in today’s society

If you hitchhike then you should be wary of who you catch a ride with. My Grandmother used to hitch hike all the time. She would get a ride from university to home. She was in university in Europe and apparently the people would go out of their ways to get you wherever you needed to go. Now this was way out of my day. As I am only 14 it doesn’t say much for the world today. We all know that the world has changed. What do you think of hitchhiking? Should it be legal to pick someone up, let alone stick out your thumb on a main road? Is it safe in the society of today? Well, It all depends on the people that are involved.  Read More »

Drugs, whats so good?

Tagged:  •

Ok, most of my old friends got into drugs and it isn't fun. I have seen them go through so much, while they make themselves lose it all. You know when you are little and there is not a care in the world, escept of course when you will get to play, but everything has changed. I will never do drugs because I made a pact with my friends, even though they broke it. I moved away because of my fathers job, and i am afraid to make any friends because if something goes wrong again I couldn't handle it.  Read More »

Totally under-rated

The media has totally outdone their job. The Civil War threat in Iraq isn't as bad as it seems to be. I am doing a project at school about it, and the media has only told about the bad things and the bad people, but what about the good and innocent people? They don't get any credit until it is too late, then they may not know about it. I feel so bad for the people of Iraq because from what i have read, they are holy terrified.  Read More »

History events

For school I am assigned to create multiple history pages for a website. I have created some, one on the war of 1812, and another on the red river war, but i don't know what other good topics there are. What would be a good topic, that is interesting and knowledgable? Please tell me your ideas! It doesn't have to be anything specific either.

Guys and dancing

Tagged:  •

If you don't mind me saying, most guys suck at dancing, and don't like to dance. Especailly ballroom dancing. How come guys tend to not do it, and at that, refuse to. It is sad how they don't dance often, sometimes even at their wedding. That is something that i look for in a guy; when he doesn't care what he looks like, as long as he is having a good time. It is really annoying when you are dancing alone because they refuse to dance with you. Don't you think?!
