My College Essay

Well, for anyone who has been raised in a family with their parents divorced, or has been raised by a single parent, I think you can relate to my essay

Statistics say “children of divorce are twice more likely to become high school drop outs, three times more prone to becoming pregnant out of wedlock, five times more likely to be impoverished, and twelve times more capable of becoming incarcerated.”[1]  Divorce has been an issue not just for married couples, but for the children who have no choice but to face the consequences they had no part of inducing.  However, there are a few exceptions of children with divorced parents, who are successful and override the statistics--I am proud to say that I am one of those.

Bank Tellers

Tagged:

I just got called to take a teller assessment for a job I've been wanting to get at a bank.  SO my question is...what is the teller assessment?  And what should I do to prepare for it?  I've worked at a store for almost a year and have experience with registers, so is it just like registers... So any bank tellers or bank employees in the house??

Why Blog?

We all have a voice.  We all have an opinion.  However, what we do with that gift, is up to us.

The beauty of sharing is understanding and gaining knowledge from other people’s perspectives and experiences.  I, for one, do not have the opportunity to regularly speak my mind, and share my views on particular topics that I’ve been itching to acknowledge.  Nor do I have the chance to listen to other people vocalize their opinions on politics, religion, etc. (all the issues that are too controversial to discuss)

What is Love?  A Feeling?  A kiss on the cheek?  A word that people throw around because they're obligated to in a relationship?  No, Love is much more powerful than that...love is unconditional, unfailing, persevering and real.

BUT...the media has distorted this beautiful thing.  Nowadays, love is the word you tell your boyfriend/girlfriend the first week you get together.  Relationships in themselves have transformed from something beautiful to something normal and quick.  There have been countless times where my friends have approached me, sharing with me their depressing experiences of getting their heart broken, and I know how they feel, because I've had my heart broken before.  But you see, relationships aren't meant to be a trial and error, they're meant to prepare two people for marriage, they're meant to be sacred.

So I am guessing you clicked on this because the title of this blog in itself is intensely controversial.  Now, before I begin, I will state that I am a Christian, non denominational in fact, and am just going to openly share some views I’ve had lately.

Healing for Your Own Personal Wounds

When I walk through the hallways at school, I can’t help but notice the many young women and men actually that just want to be like everybody else. They wear the same clothes, talk the same way, do the same things – but even though on the outside they are having the time of their lives, on the inside all they feel is pain. A lot of times, I’ve realized that many teenagers in this generation play a façade.
