I came across this quote while finding information for a history project on the internet. It comes from the pages of anne Frank's diary, a young girl who was in hiding and eventually sent to a concentration camp to be murdered by the Nazis during WWII.

So a few weeks ago, I was offered 17,500 dollars to go to Le Moyne college for academics, as well as a softball scholarship. This would take a 32,500 tuition down to about 15,000 dollars a year. I'm also eligible for a Strafford loan, so that would tack on an additional 3,500.

Illinois Indian

The University of Illinois mascot will see his last night of preformance this Wednesday night. The Indian will no longer be able to dance at the basketball games. His dance was considered "an offensive use of American Indian imagery." This sanction was put on by the NCAA.

Free Music

While flipping through the TV channels today, I saw that a bunch of college students were caught downloading free music off the internet. I only caught the last minute, but it was said that a music company wants the students to be punished for "stealing" music off the internet.

McDonald's

So a few days ago my family stopped off at a McDonald's just to pick up a quick breakfast. On all of the walls there were hearts that people could purchase in order to donate money to their charity. What I thought was funny was the fact that this charity was to improve the health of children across of the United States.

So Patch Adams was on the USA network these past few days and I decided to check out his web site about the Gesundheit! Institute.

Their Institute was found on the basis of
1) No charge for healthcare (no bartering either)
2) Staff and doctors would work for free
3) No rembursiment for the care
