I've been taking Psychology this year, and as the year ends, I've been reflecting on some of the things we've learned about. If you're familiar with psychology terms, you'll know what a "critical period" is. For those of you who don't know, allow me to explain.

We must first make progress in our own lives if we wish to make progress that can affect the world

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery????
They say that "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery"... well, I beg to differ. I think, in some cases, it can be a HUGE INSULT.
I am a poet. I have been writing poetry since I was in ninth grade (2004, I believe... maybe. I think.) and it has always been a part of my soul. If you read my signature, you can see that I'm very passionate about poetry.

Tell me the truth, doc... will I be able to have children?
The awareness of cervical cancer and many other womanly problems have been on the rise lately. With this, many people have been getting various shots, like Gardasil, and trying new birth control methods like Yaz and Mirena. I wanted to write a blog parallel to this because it affects me personally, and I wanted to raise awareness.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to say our goodbyes...
Before I begin, may this be a warning to all: When I tell it like it is, I do just that. No fluff or fuss or sugar coating. This, in turn, may cause many people to be offended. Well, I guess I'm just going to have to find some way to live with that. So a bunch of people on a website are possibly going to be mad at me. Okay. That's just grand.

Chivalry is NOT dead!!!!!!
Believe it or not, girls... there ARE some guys out there who hold doors open for girls! They're out there: you just have to be lucky enough to stumble upon one! There really ARE gentlemen out there! It shocked and amazed me, but it's true!

One bad teacher can ruin everything
Don't tell me it's not true. Don't tell me that you've NEVER had a single teacher that intimidated you and made you feel itty bitty. Don't tell me you've never had a bad teacher, resulting in bad grades for you. It happens to the best of us.
I'm not sure if there have been studies on this, or if there are statisctics to prove this or back me up on this. I'm just going from my experience.

What do I want to be when I'm "grown up"?
It's inevitable that what you want to be when you "grow up" will most likely change as you go through the actual process of "growing up".
I just wanted to talk about my own personal "growing up" process and how my future career hopes have changed.

"Je rêve de toi" My internal struggle with myself and conflicts with men.
"Je rêve de toi."
"I dream about you."
Each dream seems real, and sometimes I wish it could be.
After all, in my dreams, you actually see me.
In my waking hours, I am invisible; just another listless body wandering the streets, going about my business.
