I decided to try out something new this summer. I am going to try to balance out my eating habits. I'm keeping a food journal and counting calories along with it. I am tired of my parents calling me fat so I'm doing something more about it. Plus I want to try to wear a bikini this summer. I would be great.
My dad asked me what was the journal for and I told him and he almost went crazy. Especailly when I told him how much calories I need a day. He thinks that I am going to get fat off of it. I am going to try it out for a while and if I do gain weight, I'm going to alter my plan so I can lose a little and still maintain it.

Thank you Stephen Colbert
I had just recently seen the Stephen Colbert speech at President Bush's Dinner. I loved it. Stephen had the guts to stand in front of the president and all those who followed him and slander them. I think it was about time that someone showed Bush how stupid he is being. It was great.
For those who have not seen it, you can find it on this website: www.thankyoustephencolbert.org

Is it bad parenting or not?
When it comes to parents teaching their child about sex and sexual health, everyone has a different idea. Some say that it is best to teach the child themselves then others say that it is best to let the schools take care of it. Lately I have been hearing that it is "bad parenting" to let your child learn about sex through the school. I do not agree.
I believe that parents should ask their children if they would like to be taught by the school or their parents. That is the best way to handle this situation. The child may not feel confortable being taught one way so it would be best for him or her to be taught another way in the way that they do feel fine. I believe that giving the child a choice in this situstion is the best kind of parenting.

Lack of the green stuff
Next year for college I'm going to have to pay $3,000. It doesn't seem that much when you look at but when you know the other facts, it is a lot. I cannot afford this. Here's the reasons why:
- My father does not have a job and hasn't for the longest time.
- I am not the only one in college. My father and my sister are also in college and my brother is coming up on it in about 3 years
- My father is almost 100 % disabled so there's a reason why people won't hire him and people think that he gets a lot of money for that. He doesn't.
- My college will not give me or my sister any scholarships.
I have searched high and low for scholarships and grants. I may have to move out of the dorm and commute everyday to school. I also may have to pull out about $3,000 loans every semester which ends up being $6,000 a year and $24,000 at the end of my college career. sigh* I knew that my family could not afford my education but they still forced me too. I am glad that I am in college but we cannot afford it. It is so hard to look for scholarships.

Class skipper
It's almost finals week and I have the biggest urge to skip all of my classes for the rest of the week. But I shouldn't because it could be a very important class that is crucial to my final like my Precalc today. I went it but I really really didn;t want to. Come to find out that I could have a page of notes back and front during the final. If I had skipped, then I would have been so stressed out studying for it.

Dinning....out
A lot of Amercian people are fat. And when I say a lot I mean fat enough that in 2002, 28.7 % of adult men and 34.5 % of adult women were considered clinically obese making it to be about 53.2% of adult Americans. This is due 2 things: eating out often and/or not getting enough excerise. But from what I have seen, most of us are too lazy to get off of our fat butts and do something about it; put the effort into losing weight. I see on T.V, a lot, plastic surgey or sugerions shrinking stomachs, lipo, or people going on diet pills to lose the weight. I don't see how hard it is to go to the gym or rent a areobic tape or go out for a walk.
