I didn't say being a Democrat in Idaho is the worst; it's just bad. It's kind of like what Ellen DeGeneres said in one of her HBO specials. She talks about how some people say that the paper cut - that's the worst thing. She says it's really pickle juice in your eye. I have to agree with her; that probably is the worst thing. Haha! Go Ellen!

I realize that there is a lot of bad in the world (and to be honest it will probably get worse before it gets better). But I believe that we need to look for solutions and try to be united. I'm a big believer in Ellen's type of comedy. She's says that we are all different but then again we're all the same because we all like to laugh. If only everyone could have this philosophy.

Hello everyone!

Basically this blog is going to be about my life as a liberal in Idaho (the land of conservatives). Even though I can't vote yet, I'm active in Idaho's small Democratic scene. I realize that there's almost no point in spending time promoting Democratic candidates here because the Republicans almost always win, but I have some small bit of hope that things will change and that Idaho will someday represent a true "democracy."

To give you an example of what being a liberal in Idaho means: people call me "Democrat" as a derogatory name; people think I'm a Communist because I like Bill Clinton; I'm looked at as an outsider because I care about current events. Those are just to name a few circumstances.  Read More »
