More College Info

Tagged:

I forgot to post with my last blog, if your currently filling out applications to colleges/universities, DO IT ONLINE. It's so much easier and faster! Several of the Universities I went to stressed that online applications get there faster and are just better than paper. There is a website called applyweb.com and that's the website that I've used to fill out the applications for Central and Western. You make a username and password so then you have all your online applications in the same place. It's very helpful. Also you can save it online and come back to it when you have the rest of your info.  Read More »

Scholarship Tips

Tagged:

I'm one of the late students for looking at scholarships and right now I'm scrambling to catch up. So I just thought it would be nice to post some helpful things I've found out for others who are looking at Colleges/Universities.

FASFA - if you've never heard this before you should defiantly look it up. It's the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. FASFA is a need based grant/scholarship that the government provides. You can fill out the app. online and from the form your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) is calculated. That is related to how much money you are eligible for. When I went to Cornish, they said the form takes the same information as taxes, so when your parents have their tax info out, just sit down with them and fill that baby out.  Read More »

Work and Riddles

I thought up a little riddle for you lovely readers if you care to play. I'll post the answer after Thanksgiving for those of you who are intersted. :)

I am,
white from the front,
red from the back.
Lines contain me,
colors comand me.
What am I?

So I've been working for a while at a place called Campbell's Kennels where I take care of the numerous doggies of the world. And I'm inclined to pass out a few words of wisdom to those of you who would consider a job at as vet assistant/employee of a kennel. It's gross, and no they are not paying you to 'play' with the dogs, but to clean up their messies. So while you may be a big 'animal person' that's not all that's required, it's also a lot of hard work. And if you don't get what I mean, imagine trying to take care of 70+ pound babys that want what they want right now. Now that's not fun. So a word to the wise, very job is work, no way out of it. ^_~  Read More »

A Most Unsanitary Process

Tagged:

I would like to voice a complaint to the board. Why do cute fuzzy animals like to burn our minds with their compulsive crotch cleaning? If you have ever witnessed this phenomenon, then you must know of what I speak. Let me describe it for you.
Here you are sitting in your favorite chair reminiscing over all the fun times you had with your dog/cat and some silent alarm goes off in the animal's head. I theorize it must be seem something like this. WARNING CROTCH AREAR IS BECOMING UNSANITARY! RUSH TOUNGE INTO BUTT AREA FOR IMMEDIATE CLEANING ACTION!! WARNING! Naturally with all these important sounding warnings going off in their subconscious, your pet's cute looking tongue finds it's way to the unsanitary place in question.  Read More »

Art Colleges

Tagged:  •

I just got back from a trip to scout out the Cornish College of the Arts. So far It seems like a pretty good school. However since I've only been to Cornish and Central in Washington I feel as if I'm not checking out enough schools. If anyone knows some Universities/Colleges that have a good art or design program, I would love to hear about them.

To help myself get organized I'll just type up some pros and cons for each school.  Read More »

New Kid

Well here I am in the wonderful world of blogging once again. I say once again because I, like any other moldable young person my age, has a plethora of blogs. Having sworn them off as a infectious disease, here I am again. Hopefully I understand how this works, and don't accidentally destroy something in the middle of my typing of magic-fun-fun.

I suppose now would be a good time to throw out some 'fun facts' about the Kaitlin.  Read More »
