Today January 15, 2007, is the day that we remember and celebrate the life and dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior.  He is remembered as one of the most influential people and one of the greatest orators.  Many believe this is simply a Monday off, to kick back and relax, and many don’t even get this day off.  Actually, this is the first time in my life that I’ve gotten work and school off.  Perhaps it is because some people don’t understand the impact that Dr. King had, or perhaps it’s because I live in
Wyoming.  Nonetheless it is important to read and think about the thoughts of Dr. King.

So begins the blog.  I have had this progressive U account for a few months now; however this is my first blog.  Perhaps my new years resolution should be to become a regular blogger (is blogger even a word?).  Anyway, I am sure most people are apprehensive to  blog because, like myself, they aren’t quite sure what to blog about.  One reason it took me so long to write my first blog is because I want every blog of mine to be meaningful.  Then I decided that would be too much pressure.  So my first blog will manage to be approximately 150 words, and it will also manage to be about nothing.  Perhaps as I become more experienced with blogging I will develop a better vocabulary, use better punctuation, and I hope that someday, just maybe I will have something significant to blog about.  If anyone ever happens to read my blog, don't worry I have faith that I will develop some sort of blogging ability.  If not, well then perhaps I will stop and take up knitting.
