Today I went to court to fight my ticket and found out something I never would have imagined. Cops don't need to have a radar detector or even stop-watch to give you a citation for speeding. All they truly need are their eyes. Read More »

Ignorance is NOT Bliss
Some people think that living without learning is fine. They believe that they can be stuck in one teaching for the rest of their life and be fine with that, not accepting change or differences within society. I understand that sometimes it's easier to live in a safe bubble, but when the bubble threatens to break around you, why instead of trying to learn and let yourself out of the bubble, do so many people cling to the residue? Ignoring time and time again what is truly going on. Read More »

Premartial sex, even your parents did it....Abstinence only Programs DON'T WORK
It seems that since 1940 premarital sex has been a major issue. Everyone always talks about how it's so bad, and it can be depending on if you use and abuse the principle or not. But think about it this way we think of the past as very prude and maybe before 1940 this would be a true statement. But since 1940, nine out of ten Americans, both men and women have had premarital sex. For Americans it seems to have become normal behavior, just a part of our day to day lives. We have sex before marriage. This to me made it more clearer how special it is to save yourself. I mean I know I'm not one to say anything, but I just think it would be all the more romantic to hold out and just save yourself in ways. Yet if we goes by the numbers, it seems that it would be really hard to find someone that had waited specially for you. Read More »

Now you can track Santa too....
I found this really interesting while reading the news today on yahoo. There are many ways that you can try to make your children believe in Santa or at least enhance their belief. One website http://www.noradsanta.org/en/default.php, tracks Santa's progress. Norad even has celebrities that thank Norad for tracking Santa.
Another website http://www.claus.com/village.php prepares children and tells them whether they have been good or bad so they know what they are getting for christmas. When I checked my status it was funny because it was right on, it actually mentioned how I was not clean and orderly, and how I did a lot of good deeds, and helped out a lot. I don't know I found that funny! There are many other things on the website.Such as craft ideas that one could do. Most of them are geared to children, but will give people that no longer believe but have a lot of holiday spirit a good laugh. I might be babysitting tomorrow and plan on showing these to the kids I am watching. I think they will enjoy it. Read More »

Just a Scapegoat for Children infected with AIDS in Bulgaria
In Libya, five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestine doctor, are on retrial for having infected children AIDS. No they didn't take needles filled with the disease, they are simply caregivers that worked at an unsanitary location in hopes of making someone's life better. The children had signs of AIDS before these six people even worked at the Benghazi hospital. Specialists determined that the disease was already present in the hospital before these Doctors even came and evidence has proven this. These people were already sentenced to death once, but it was sent to a retrial. Libyans are rooting for a conviction. Read More »

Why do we need relics?
Currently scientists are doing tests to determine if a rib and cloth remain from St. Joan of Arc were truly a relic or a fake. The scientists do not believe that this is a real relic, due to the fact there was a cat femur found in it and there is vegetable residue much like one would have from an embalming. This sparked the question in my mind, why are we so desperate for hope? Why are we looking for it anyplace we can find it, even if it means believing in something that's not real? Read More »

Baby I'm back!
I'm back to writing more journal entires again. What with school being done and all it's completely opened up more free time. I realized this year a lot of things that I had never thought about before that have made me a better person..
Thanksgiving for example really made me aware of how much I have to be thankful for. Especially since my grandfather was able to function on his own then. it's just crazy in my mind how quickly time works. How fast things can change. My grandfather was able to walk and talk, and if he needed assistence it was minor, yet in the short time since Thanksgiving my grandfather's condition became not so positive. He can no longer walk on his own and is becoming extremly senile. It's sad and hard to watch, I just hope he's not in pain. he's in a nursing home right now and my only hope is that for Christmas he is well enough to come home. I mean my mind just keeps going back to the fact that he will be in a nursing home for Christmas and that's just not fair. I mean everyone should be with family, but currently he can't walk and no one can carry him around and such if he were to need to use the bathroom and such. It's just sad, because none of my family is able to care for him. We tried coming up with different options for him to live with family, but there was no way that any member of my family could constantly be with him and care for him. the only option we had was a nursing home and I don't know.. It just really bothers me that nothing can be done... Read More »

IF OJ(Simpson) was the killer, He would have..
Well you can now find out how OJ would have committed the murders of his ex-wife and her boyfriend. The interview will air in two parts on the 27th and 29th, a nice after-Thanksgiving treat for the family (barf). This truly makes me sick. Okay it's all but accepted he did it, why do people have to dig up stuff like that. I mean how horrible is this to the families that had to live through it. It happened so long ago why don't we just let people try and deal with their pain. I mean the guy wrote a book called "IF I Did it" which comes out on the 30th. Why would he be writing this? What kind of person thinks that way? Hmm could it be because he's laughing his sick twisted victory over our justice system straight to the banks? I mean this is just sad in so many ways.
