Overlooked and Forgotten

'Shared Responsibility' is one of the most overlooked principles today. As a human race, we have a shared responsibility to keeping this earth clean so that our children can survive in it. As morally responsible beings, we have a shared responsibility to respond to the overwhelming need of food, water, and medicine in countries where thousands upon millions are dying from preventable causes. But this 'Shared Responsibility' becomes overlooked by 'My Responsibility'. I need to pay my taxes. I need to afford my house. I need to pay for education for my children. What we don't realize is that if we are concerned with merely 'My Responsibility', the economy will crash because there not nearly enough healthy people in the world. The environment will shorten the days of those children we are trying to put through school and university. Shared Responsibility is far too overlooked today.

For anyone would agree that a friend is more valuable than a mere car... and in this case, one in excess would be able to have both the friend and the car.
