Can video games be addicting?

I have gotten my research paper for my English class done, and everybody tells me it is good. I would like to know what everybody else thinks.

Is it the Divorce or the Parents?

    Supposedly I am too young to know what stress is.  But, today in society I think stress starts not when you are an adult, but when you are in high school.  In high school you start having huge amounts of homework, research papers, and when you are a senior you freak out about trying to find a college.  I am a senior this year, and from the moment school started I was stressing out about what college I was going to go to and what I was going to major in. Luckily, I know have been accepted to a college and I am going to major in Animation.  Now all I have to worry about is paying for college.  Since, that is done and over with I have to do a huge research paper that is worth 2000 points, and if I get a bad grade on it I will be screwed for the rest of the year. 

Well, in English class we are starting are research paper, and mine is about does divorce cause children to make children make bad choices.  The bad choices they "supposedly" make because of their parents divorcing are doing drugs, smoking cigarettes, and drinking alcohol.  I do not think that divorce causes these problems.  Personally, I think it is the kids own choice to do these things not the divorce that causes this.  Yes, I know there is peer pressure but they can still say no.  My parents have been divorced for a long time and I have never done drugs, smoked, or drinked alcohol and that is because I think it is stupid..  I also have friends whose parents are divorced, and they drink and smoke because they think it is fun not because there parents got a divorce.  I think people are just trying to find something to pin how their children behave on instead of the fact that their kids are making bad choices.  I would like to hear your opinion on the matter.  Just remember not to be rude.

Is violence on T.V. affecting kids?  People believe that kids today are doing serious crimes because of what they see on T.V.  They think that kids re-enact what they see on T.V. and it ends up having terrible consequences.  Personally, I think this is not true because when I was around six years old my brother and I started watching rated R movies, and I have NEVER thought about re-enacting what I saw in the movies.  I would though re-enact other things I watched with my siblings, but they were harmless. Examples would be X-men, Power Rangers, and anything else that was cool when I was younger.  But none of us were ever hurt when we did this.  We got hurt more when we played sports such as football, soccer, and softball.  So, I think that T.V. does not affect children by making them do crazy things likle killing people, setting their house on fire, and jumping off roofs.  These are all examples I have read of what parents have said their children have done after watching a movie or show.  Please, give me your opinion just keep it clean.

Evolution vs. God!  Why do some schools today still do not teach the evolution theory?  Is it because they are afraid children will turn away from God and become an athiest?  I think that kids today should have the choice to either believe the evolution theory or that God created men (and women).  Schools should not have the power to be able to keep children in the dark about how science thinks we came from primates.  I think it is a great thing to know that we might have somehow originated from primates.  Give me your opinions on subject.  All I ask is that you don't be rude about it.

Are video games having effect on how children behave?  People say that children playing games like Grand Theft Auto are going to start behaving like the characters in the game by going around cussing at people, stealing their cars, or shooting them for the fun of it.  Please, I think children have enough common sense to know right from wrong and can tell fantasy from reality.  I played shooting games like 007 and Perfect Dark all the time with my brothers when I was younger and I never thought once about getting a real gun and shooting people.  All comments on this subject are appreciated just please do not be rude about it. 

Is MySpace a big waste of time?  I have asked this question a lot, and have yet to get a full answer.  Some people love MySpace saying they love going on it and meeting new people.  Others have said it is a BIG WASTE of time making your own page and blogging with people that you don't know and are never going to meet.  What do you think about MySpace?  Do you love
