Today when I was working at the library, I came across a book called, 'Die Happy: 499 Things Every Guy's Gotta Do While He Still Can' by Tim Burke and Michael Burke.
It's the grossest book ever. Every chapter has a check list of things to do before guys tie the knot. An underlining theme throughout the book is, guys have no life after marriage.
Our plane was delayed for over two hours. When we finally board the plane, we find a middle-aged woman sitting in my seat. Jenny politely says, "Ma'am, I think you are in one of our seats". The woman extends her arm towards us and sticks out her index finger. Apparently she's too busy to respond to Jenny because she's checking her "very important" voice messages.
I've just started reading the 'Kite Runner' and I came across one of the most amazing passages. The main character is talking to his Dad, who he refers to as Baba, about what he is being taught in school (e.g., it is a sin to drink alcohol). His Father, however, disagrees. The following is an extract from p.17.

Recently, I started volunteering at the wildlife rehabilitation center. It’s exciting. Today, I cleaned out the cage of two fawn and gave them more grass. I love deer especially baby deer because they are so awkward when they walk around. These two have the biggest eyes.
