Well, yesterday, Monday, September 10th 2007, I am happy to say I was one of the huggers out there. I really prepared for my day for hugging. In the morning I made a sign that read
"FREE HUGS!"
and on the other
"SEPTEMBER 10th
HUG DAY
SPREAD PEACE (peace sign) ONE HUG AT A TIME!"
Just to let everyone know, Monday, September 10th is National and International Hug Day! the day to give out hugs to people.
So on your day, open up and hug people.
I LOVED the movie Hairspray!
That movie reflects many of my views! Except in today's society, colors have expanded further than black and white depicted in Hairspray. Now we not only classify people by color and body type, we look at ethnicity, religion, gender, and also sexual orientation and all of these influence people's prejudice.
Ok i was actually torn between many topics for my second post. (THANKIES to everyone who commented on my first)
The topics i was thinking were obesity, border laws, or integration and diverstity...
I chose border laws.... here is my point of view.
HEllo, this is my first post and well i felt that I needed to address a topic about which i feel strongly. I honestly think that gay marriage should happen. As weird as it sounds, watching the movie, 'HAIRSPRAY,' has made me realize that it is time that people start changing.
I think that any people should have the right to marry, once they come of age of course, ANY PEOPLE should be able to enter into matrimony and confess their love for one another in front of family, friends and God.
