Why are most "Christians" conservative Republican, homophobes, who never listen to any arguement against their alleged faith, but dismiss all as being of the devil? and of these things they will have no part. Not even to give a logical arguement against it. Rather they hide in their holes and say that "you just have to have faith" and leave the world to it's own apostasy. Why do they claim to follow Jesus yet never take up their cross? Why is a message that has to do with blood, sweat and tears, turned into stained glass pictures of crosses and doves? I promise you that the cross was not smooth, and Jesus probably wasn't white, and he probably wasn't very pretty. So why has Christianity been portrayed in this way?

I am reading a book by Donald Miller called, Searching for God knows What. In this book he dedicates a chapter to playing the role of an Alien who has come to analyze the human race. What would you say if you were an alien giving a report to your chief on the human race?

Does Time Exist? or is it simply an illusion constructed so that our brains don't explode? Is there rhyme and reason to all we do? or is there no such thing?

I have a theory on time, actually it's derived from C.S. Lewis' theory of time...

Lewis says that all moments are contained in one moment. Time is a creation/ construction designed to help us understand ourselves, and our interactions with people. God exists outside of time and thus sees everything in the world objectively, or as it is. When we go to be with God, we see our lives on earth as an extension of ourselves. It is simply an extension of our one existential moment. what do you think?

Being a Christian I would like to adress the Church and it's problems. Many recognize the church as a haven for phoniness, and it makes me sick...Because it's true. Most people in the western church are full of lies and want to condemn everyone around them. They are bashing people with scripture (that often times doesn't go along with whats happening), they are dogmatic, and sadly, often uninformed. However this is not Christianity. True Christianity is about loving people, not condemning people. Love can be "tough love" though, and may come across as "intolerance" or something, but really a true Christian will want what's best for the world, and for people. I consider it one of the calls in my life to expose the extensive hypocracy in the Western Church, it greatly sadens me. BUt dont be fooled by such foolery as many "christians." they have accepted God's grace, but not his sacrifice, and thus are not Christian. I would like to apologize for the phoniness of the Western Church. but realize that is not real christianity.

I am a new member to this blog and have seen already, in the last ten minutes, large amounts of anti-God/ anti-Christianity writings. And to be honest, I see where you guys are coming from. I mean most of the western church is hypocritical, often close minded, and trying to seperate themselves from anything that is not explicitly "Christian." However I disagree that, because of these ignorant men, Christianity is false. Rather I would contend that Christianity is the most sound worldview ever to exist. Why? Because it works. Only a worldview based on truth will work, and Christianity does so. I believe that Christianity can be defended better than any other worldview by all fields of study. Christianiy can be defended philisophically, historically, scientifically, and whatever "ally" you like. It is the only worldview that allows men to live life to it's fullest. In short it is the only true way to live in a real world.
