Good things can be born out of gut-wrenchingly awful situations.

I am slowly discovering a sad and disturbing fact. Americans seem to be the simultaneously sympathetic and unaware of the world outside the United States.

I know that at least one person has said (possibly out loud) "What?! That is completely nonsensical, moron! I doesn't even make sense"

As a full-time student, and full-time substitute teacher, when I get home and get all my homework done, I want to do nothing more than veg out in front of the TV (which doesn't make for a very healthy waistline). On one of the rare days that was am not bound by what is being TiVo'd I discovered this fantastic channel called Current.

First thing I would like to say is that all of the focus being put on 2008's election may not be a fantastic thing. I feel that President Bush will not be a Lame Duck going into January '09...he will use the lessened publicity on his presidency to do all sorts of crazy/scary things. Think on that for a moment...
