I heard that some people didn't like how at the end of Monday night's episode of 24 they showed a nuclear bomb go off in LA. But I say what's the big deal? It's just a tv show. After seeing a real-life terrorist attack happen live on national TV, and then a few weeks later seeing the Newsweek issue (I think it was Newsweek anyways) where they published pictures of people jumping to their deaths from the burning buildings, I think I can handle something made-up on a tv show. More troops sent to Iraq.
I have mixed feeling about the war in Iraq. While I feel that the war should have never started in the first place, I also feel that it would not be good to leave things unfinished, since it's already been started. So if sending more troops is going to help finish the job more quickly then good, but I don't think that's going to happen. They interviewed a top military official on the news and he said he thinks the war is still going to last a couple more years.
Boxer taking a stab at Rice? I don't think so.
Some people are saying that Barbara Boxer intended to insult Condoleezza Rice by mentioning that Rice does not have children and a family, but I do not think that is the case. I saw the clip on the news of Boxer making that statement and I could tell by the tone of her voice and the way she said it that she did NOT mean it that way.
