i have witnessed my mother being physicall mentally and verbally abused during my childhood by my father. its really hard as a young child to comprehend the person hurting the one that loves u the most and the abuser is the child's "superman" (father). my mother got out of the abuse relationship and never returned.

this weekend i went on a leadership conference at FLOC in West, Va. i went with the prevention of underage drinking organization that i am involved with. we did activities that required cooperation, commmunication, and leadership roles from every member.

The government is keeping us distracted by a number of things. President Bush signed a formal agreement allowing the united states, Canada and Mexico without the approval of congress or the people of the united states are trying to merge us into one entity calling us the north American union in 2005. It is an open borders policy that will ignore enforcement of immigration laws.

Recently i attenened an annual college fair. over 100 colleges and scholarship options were attending. I was hoping to go with a friend other than my mom but it didnt work out as it was planned, so i got her information as i did myself. The first couple of table i was enthuasticastic because this was my first offical "college hunting" experience.

personally, i feel that everyone is equal no matter what relious ethnic or sexual orientation they have. i believe that no one is equal to say that he is able to chastise another person for something when he still imporving yourself as well. I am heterosexual but i know that homosexuals , bisexuals, and transexual are all still humans and go through things just like everyone else.

on the subject of jena 6, i feel that it is appalling that this matter happened sometime last year in dececmber (as i recall). I believe that this matter should ahve been widely broadcasted on the new stations and radios but i am not in charge of what will be potrayed as "important" in the current media.

i am a junior in high school and one thing i hate doing is the applcation and writing process for scholarships. I know that the money is out there for people to attend college, we just have to take a little time to complete them to have a chance of success. I have done only one essay and it had to be less than 200 words.

i participate in a local nonprofit organization called the National Capital Coaltion to Prevent Underage Drinking (NCCPUD). I recently did a presentation with a couple of my fellow members about underage drinking and how it can affect teens and young adults plysically as well as mentally. this was my second presentation with this group and i was still new at it.
