As eager as I am about participating in the next ProgressiveU contest, I must permanently retreat from this website if I don’t want to (further) jeopardize my GPA. Because I know you all love me so much and care sincerely about my well-being, let me tell you what I’ll be up to in the next year or so.
I’ll be graduating from college in June with a degree in biochemistry. I wish I were as smart as my B. S. degree implies, but I’m not. I’ve forgotten half of the materials I’ve learned, and I’ve succeeded in my classes so far mainly by studying the exams from the previous years and memorizing things when I can’t understand them. I don’t even like science that much, and I like math even worse. Calculus made me cry, linear algebra made me angry, and physics made me want to chop off someone’s head, not excluding my own. For two years straight I complained about my math and science classes to whomever willing to (pretend to) listen, and even now I still get mild seizures when I stare at my bio or chemistry text for too long.
