Esperanza's blog

Dead people on display

Now for a real post.

Yesterday I took an all-day field trip to see the Bodies exhibit in Seattle. For those not familiar with this exhibit, go here for a briefing. About 250 to 300 kids went, so it was widely talked about and - of course - widely debated.

One question that was posed many times was "Is it really science, or is it more art?"

Well...here I am.

Another blog, another first post, and for once I'm not at a loss for what to say. Although I have something I want to talk about, I figure I'll preface my Progressive U blogging career with a little something about who I am.

All that I need to say about me for now is embodied in my username. I hate coming up with usernames, but that's beside the point. Esperanza is Spanish for hope. For me, this speaks of the hope I have of eternal life through Christ (I don't mean that I think I'm going to heaven, by the way). I would like to say more on this, but I prefer to keep this particular post short. If you want to know more about my religious beliefs and faith, please ask me. I'd love to "talk".
