I'm surprised at how much racism I see around today. It's as if most people are hypocrites. They say that they aren't racist but they believe certain things about certain races. that are complete stereotypes.

Have you ever wondered about those teachers who don't let their students go to the restroom during class?

It seems like forever that the human race has been fighting wars for the sole purpose of attaining peace. To me this sounds like a hypocrisy. Why would we seek out peace by destroying it?
This is a poem I wrote a while ago to get my message across, please read on and enjoy.

War

Bombs go off in the distance
As innocent children
And their families seek refuge.

For the past couple of years our government has been having monetary problems and one of the governments main expenditures are public schools. because of this the government has been cutting the budget for public schools. This is wrong because those kids who the government is hurting are going to grow up to be the worlds doctors, teachers, engineers, and politicians.

For the past thousands of years we, the human race, have solved our problems through wars and violence. We need to find a new way just as we have entered a new millenium. The world is changing and our decisions and actions need to change with it.

The Beatles once said in their song "Revolution":

You say you want a revolution
Well you know we all want to change the world...

I've noticed lately that many people in America are very selfish people whether they or others realize it or not. many people don't give enough and take too often and when doing things for others want to know what they will get out of it. I'm not saying that all people are like this just that some people are.

I personally think that there should be no death penalty. I think it's a horrible idea because the government is murdering a human being regardless if they are guilty or not. This seems very hypocritical to me that the government says that it is wrong to murder but than goes and murders people (not that I like murderers because I absolutely hate them).

I think that voting for the president of America should be made mandatory. If only a certain amount of Americans vote we can guess that only they are educated about our countries politics and that we are deciding on a president based on their opinions and not the nations population as a whole.
