Kent McManigal -- The Unlikely President

I was reading through my general blog and came across a site called SelectSmart.com, which has a decently short survey of what issues you think the next President should prioritize. You go through the survey and it ranks all the candidates based on who agrees with you the most. The issues in the survey have really black and white answers to them, but it seems to be sufficient enough to be decently accurate.

While the site, though quite ad-infested, is rather interesting, this entry isn't about the site itself, but what I found out after taking the survey thing. It's about education, not control

I've actually been trying to avoid this matter, since even I realize it's a long-dead horse, but I've seen one too many people here on ProgressiveU that seem to think gun control is the only way to go to leave it alone any longer. It seems that a lot of people that are for gun control think that even touching a gun is going to make a person go on a rampant shooting spree or turn someone into a serial killer. It's that kind of ignorance and beligerent fear that's so dangerous to everyone.  Read More »
