HIV/AIDS Vaccine Failure

On Medical News Today, an article (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/101663.php) came to my attention. Being the biology minded person I am, I went to read further. And to be completely honest, what I read has (in my slightly detectable southern accent) started me thinking.

Round One: Bush verses the Congress of the United States

"If the Congress chooses to pass bills that are simply political statements, they will have chosen stalemate," he wrote. "If a different approach is taken, the next two years can be fruitful ones."

From the web address of http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/01/03/news/cong.php

So, another *wonderful* statement from our president....hmm. Funny, this sounds like a "do it my way or the highway." That concerns this political science/biology major. So, is the increase of minimum wage a political statement? What about increasing the funds for research into stem cell research or clean burning fuels? And what is this "different approach" to include and have the Democrats had the chance to try a dead end road? I don't believe the Dems have had congress in eleven years. I might be off, but not by much.

Stem cell research?

Tagged:  •

The nasty little topic that is becoming more and more noticed...only problem: does anyone know anything about it? I mean, it seems that anytime someone brings up this topic in relation to the government, the sentence that comes is "stem cell research kills babies and isn't worth the risk." Well I will be completely honest, that doesn't help much. So I think it is time to shed some light on this scientific exploration
