Lady In The Water wasn't that bad

I saw M. Night Shyamalan's Lady In The Water at the drive-in last summer and didn't pay too much attention to it. It was my last night home for the summer, so I was focusing more on friends and the future. After watching it again, I realized that it was actually a good movie. It has an interesting plot, intriguing characters, and it kind of makes you think.  Read More »

Put Hybrids To Use, For A Change

Tagged:

Everyone's always talking about hybrids being the technology of now and the future. Toyota and Honda's hybrids, Saturn's GreenLines, and Ford's hybrids are all used by the general public. To tell you the truth, most of the hybrids purchased are all to make people feel like they're saving the world.  Read More »

FCC Strikes... Again

Tagged:

The FCC has done it again. Now, in addition to editing sexual and language content, they will be editing violence, too. Certain politicians and parents are afraid that there is too much violence on during primetime. Our favorite shows, such as 24, might be censored. Sometimes we need the violence. It helps to build the mood.  Read More »

Humor #2 Sign of Intelligence

Tagged:

I heard from one of my professors that humor is the number 2 sign of intelligence in human beings. Does this include sarcasm? Do you have to make up jokes and not just tell them?

He told us that anyone you know who tells a lot of jokes must be pretty intelligent. I myself make up nearly-countless jokes on a weekly basis, but I'm not the most intelligent person. I'm smart, but that doesn't mean I'm necessarily intelligent. Sometimes I feel like this isn't entirely true, but I can be intelligent about certain things.  Read More »
