A paper I wrote a while back for my senior scrapbook...

If dreams were for sale, I would buy one that involved something I really enjoy. Most likely I would buy a dream where I would be in a perfect paradise. A place where there would be no worries, no loud, busy cities, or obnoxious people. I'd love to be able to live on an island where I wouldn't have to worry about doing everyday things and having to put up with people complaining all the time. I love going to the beach, especially St. Simons Island. It's almost like you're in a whole different world, where everything moves a little slower and everything and everyone is laid back. I wouldn't want to be on a deserted island, but some place that had just enough people for a small community. A place where you could wake up and never have to look at the clock to see what time it was, or worry about getting home.  Read More »

It was late in the afternoon on Saturday April 10, 2004. I was sitting in the hot car outside in the parking lot at Farmers Furniture in *********, GA. I was contemplating on whether or not I should go to prom. I had always thought about it throughout high school, but I didn't have a date, and didn't know who to turn to. With mixed emotions, I thought to myself, "How could I not go to my Senior Prom?" My boyfriend of 2 years has become a very active designated driver for a ton of his friends...they've gotten to the point that they expect him to take them home almost every night from the bar (he never drinks, but goes down there occasionally for the local bands). He feels obligated to take them home so that nothing bad happens to them and they get mad if he says he cant.

I understand that he wants to make sure his friends are ok, but it's starting to interfere with our relationship because when he's out til 3, 4, 5, or 6 in the morning taking care of them, and if/when I want to go out for lunch, he's still in bed around noon.
