1 billion dollar bills

Tagged:

A guy in California was busted for his stash of 1 billion dollar bills.   When police went into his Hollywood apartment they found 250 bogus 1 billion dollar bills.  The counterfeit money looked real, but there was only one problem, no such bill exists.  These bills had a picture of President Grover Cleveland on them and were dated 1934.  This man was also acused of having a 100,000 gold certificate.

A Judgemental Society

Think how many times a day you make fun of in some way of what someone looks like, is doing, is wearing, etc., think how many times you say "eww I wouldn't wear that,"  when that person is expressing themselves by wearing what they feel comfortable in just as you are the clothes you are wearing.  Have you ever stopped to think that if what someone is wearing, doing, or looks like seems weird to you you, nine times out of ten you seem weird to them as well?  Well its true, and we as Americans are probably one of the most judgemental societies on this earth, not to mention one of the wealthier ones as well, and how often do we share that wealth with other and truely want to, not just to show off.  I'm just as guilty of all this as I'm saying others are, I know for a fact I'm really bad at it alot, but im trying to improve on it, are you?

American Tortured then killed

Tagged:

American Christian Peace activist was tortured to death and then killed in Dawoudi, Iraq recently.  His name was Tom Fox, he was 54 years old, and his body was found dumped near a railroad in Baghdad according to police on Saturday.  They found cuts and bruises on his body which led them to believe he was tortured before he was shot in the chest and head which was where they found gunshot wounds.  They said that he was also dressed in Iraqi-made clothing when they found his body.  There have also been three other Christian Peace Activists who were captured back in November.

Where your presidental votes really go

When you cast a vote on your ballot for a president, are you really voting for the president?  The answer is no.  What you are actually doing is voting for your states electors.  You see we have an electoral college system, for those who don't knwo what that is, its where all the votes of each state are tallied up to see who wins the majority of the state.  Then your states electors vote on the candidate, most every time in our nation's history, they have went with the majority of the state,  but very few times have they went against the majority of a state.  SO when they vote for a presidental candidate, the candidate that then wins with the states electors, gets the states electoral college votes, and you have to have 270 to win.  It's an interesting system, but it does make it extremely difficult for third party candidates to win any election.

Hurricane Katrina Clean-up Efforts

Tagged:

Alot of churches, famous singers such as Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw, actors & actresses, and other organizations have went over to Mississippi and Louisianna to help with clean up efforts.  The areas in which they are cleaning up are nasty, they have an acrid smell to them and rodents run everywhere around the trash.  Alot of valuable money and time have been spent by those people who actually care to try and make it better for the people who once lived over there.  What do you think about the efforts that have been going on, about the efforts that haven't happened yet?  Have you been over to the devastated areas or plan on going over there?

Zero Tolerance Policy

You know how school shave zero-tolerance rules that state that you are not allowed to have cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, or anything of that manner on school property?  I personally don't think they enforce that rule like they should, because I see students driving out of the parking lot smoking every day almost.  I just hope that they know that they are slowly killing themselves.  But back to my original point, how often do you actually see or hear of them cracking down on students for having that on property?  Sure they bring in the sniff dogs once every blue moon,  but I personally think they could do a lot better on enforcing it. What about you?
