Now everyone on the 18th birthday is going out to get a tattoo. I didn't sit with 27 needles in my back for 3 hours to be different for everyone else to go get one and then for me to be told i was following the fad. But they are doing it very different from me. I decided i wanted one in june. I researched the parlors and read matieral so i would know what to expect. This article is for anyone that is thinking about a tattoo  Read More »

Teen Pregnancy

Tagged:

At my school, I know the teen pregnancy rate has to be high. It seems like someone in every one of my classes has been or once was. I know that there are suposably ways to prevent pregnancy by using birth control. What teens today need to know is that birth control doesn't always work. Alot of the girls are all excited about their bundle of joy that they are about to get. The only problem is they don't understand all the time and money and support that this little bundle of joy is going to need. My best friend was due last sunday. And still hasn't had it yet. The problem is i think i am more worried than she is. What is she going to do? Her baby's dad is in jail. She didn't know the real him when they were dating. Her baby will never know its dad. Its going to be her, her brother, her mom and her friends taking care of the baby.  Read More »

I am a firm beliver if you are hurting a child, that child should be removed from your home. But what if you are doing the best you can do?

I have a very good friend that is very poor. Her and her brother used to share a room but the parents decided when they hit middle school they should have seperate rooms. The parents moved to the living room so the children could have thier privacy. They have been trying to find a new house that they could rent for quite a while. Thier current house has many holes in the floor that they do not have the money to prepare. Recently thier yard caught on fire due to a ciggarette but and they were very scared that thier house was going to burn. However thankfully it did not.  Read More »

Like Stealling Candy from a baby

Ok so i was reading current events, since i am in class right now when i came across this one: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060316/od_nm/crime_necklace_dc;_ylt=AvJD3l03EX3Vr__8q8S1CCWek3QF;_ylu=X3oDMTA3NW1oMDRpBHNlYwM3NTc-

Basicly it is talking about these two people that stole a 5 year old's necklace by snatching it off her neck. It has left a 8 inch cut on the girl's neck and now there is a scar there. The couple admited to the police that they pawned in the girl's necklace for drug money.  Read More »

Teens and Anti-Depressents

Tagged:  •

I have noticed alot of teenagers are on anti depressents. My only question is why? I mean if you go in to the doctor for a cough, why would you come out with ceraquil or lexapro? I mean look at all of the side effects of antidepressents. I feel like the pills are something like using a sledge hammer to crack a nut.  These are just some of the side effects

  • Urinary retention
  • Blurred vision
  • Constipation
  • Sedation (can interfere with driving or operating machinery)
  • Sleep disruption
  • Weight gain
  • Headache
  • Nausea
