Why Blog?

Tagged:

I blog because I want to make a difference. To get attention to the issues I strongly believe in. After years of going with the crowd, with popular belief and nodding after everything that the group went by, I want to be more than a yes person. To give my honest opinion, and if some don’t like it, that’s fine. I’ve come to terms with my issues of not being accepted. We are all different and our opinions differ, and so I write this blog. One of the reasons I blog is for animal rights. I love my dog to death and can’t imagine how a government can let the pet shelter kill so many dogs just because there are so many. There are other ways, like with not letting just anybody breed animals and sell them. By putting laws, and hard penalties for people who help overpopulate America with pets. Dogs and Cats are sweet, and intelligent, how can so much money be used to fight a war over seas while poor animals suffer a horrible fate. They are being “Executed” for no fault of their own. Some see animals like things. Objects to keep you company, but they are much more than that. They can save their masters, help the blind see, and even catch criminals, they are like four legged furry humans, and should have rights. The right to live.  Read More »

Entertainment and REAL news

Why is Entertainment more important than REAL news? If I turn on the tv, or log on a site, why are the first news about Angelina and Brad, about movies and so forth more featured than real news? Is it more important to know about 2 people getting together, than about a genocide from Africa? I never really thought of this, until today when I watched Oprah and realized how horrible the genocide over there has been. Why isn't this more on the news? Is it just me, or are Americans more interested in Entertainment than about real issues.

Some teachers need to do their jobs

Teachers like the police and firemen have a very important responsibility, to help the children and students to learn. Sadly some teachers don’t do their jobs efficiently and should be replaced, because our taxes pay for them, and we should get our money’s worth. Some teachers are letting students slip through the cracks. To move on to another grade while they are not even efficient in their previous grade. I have seen many people in high school that can’t even read at a third grade level. I have even had the bad experience of having such a teacher in middle school and high school. One that shows a movie before holiday break, that sits and reads instead of teach. This is not professional, teachers should do all they can to help their students move on. And I know that some of this may be the student’s fault too, but the teachers should fail the student, or talk to their parents. Thankfully there is hope, for over the years I have seen better results. But still some slip by, and if they continue slipping by, than perhaps they will end up in a professional career that they don’t deserve.
