True Seperation of church and state is Impossible

Tagged:

Well people say that they want seperation of church and state. What it means is that the government will not take one religion over the other. And all our laws are based on the english's laws which are based on their religon.

Are all our laws based on the commandments?

1)Don't kill, don't steal and so forth.

Isn't our law already taking one religion's view over the other?  Read More »

I have been shy for many years. I don't talk to people unless they go up to me first, so for my General Ed requirements, I took a Psychology class (to help me me out) The teacher up front said that everything we said, would stay there. And day by day I became more comfortable. We talked about many topics, and like always, he said everything we said would stay in class. I as never mean to anyone, and I was just shy.  Read More »

Isn't this an illegal question to be asked at a job fair?

Tagged:

I recently went to a job fair at my college (to get college money). I didn't see anything that I liked until I saw a teaching job. They looked for College students to help kids out. So I asked the lady there what they required. (Keep in mind I am Hispanic looking) I went up to a white lady. She started naming requirements. But than  she asked me ARE YOU A US CITIZEN? The lady should have said (like the booklet of the job said "Are you a U.S. citizen or a legal, permanent resident of the U.S.?" The difference? You can't be descriminated against if you just say yes to the question.  Read More »

Welfare is a joke, manipulating the system

Tagged:

Welfare is a joke.  It's not hard to manipulate the system. It's simple

1).Don't work, get money

2).Have kids, get free money

3).Eat so much, you can't walk, get money

Does anyone find any of this wrong?

Sure there are the exceptions=People who are in disabilities (that they can't do anything about) and parents who work full time and still make too little. Besides that, I think this system is a joke. Give the money to the ones that need/ earn it. Not to the lazy, or the people that eat so much, that they can't walk. Why pay people to have kids? It makes no sense.  Read More »

I have heard many terms. But not the term of "color". I was looking through scholarships, and I have to be of color to enter. So I ask, umm..what color? I looked it up on another site and they said ""Person of color" or "people of color" are synonyms for people who are not white" So does that imply everyone else? Or just of african american decent? I am from hispanic decent, whiter than most people, so I don't realy get it. Am I of color or not? Why don't they just name a heritage? The flyer for the scholarship just says:  Read More »

Why do they always change the ending date?

Tagged:

I've applied to a few scholarships that were suppose to end about a month ago. I wonder, why do they always change the ending date? For the last 4 I applied to this has happened. They announce a day were they will announce the winner, finalist, and in all of them the day goes out without any word. No word on their site, no word by mail, like they disapeared in thin air. In the first one I applied to I found out about the finalists, when a kid from my school was one and wrote on the school paper.  Read More »

Eye surgery, afraid as heck, any tips? Stay with glasses?

Tagged:

I am not so blind without my glasses. But  I can see blurry. I'm thinking on getting a job as a cop or something in a year or 2.So my parents have been saying that I should get eye surgery. I am afraid as heck, and I'm afraid the doctor will screw up and that I will be blinded for life. Has anyone had surgery? Should I just wear glasses until my eyes correct themselves?
