I recently read some Darwin Awards and wondered to myself, does evolution work any longer?  In case you do not know what Darwin Awards honor those who are so stupid that they remove themsleves from the gene pool and lessen the stupidity of the over all gene pool.  The problem is, people can be stupid and have lots of kids, resulting in their genes being carried on and smart people can decide not to have kids and their gene pool will end because there are not enough dangers to kill off all the stupid people before they die any more.
So does this mean that evolution no longer works or does it mean that it has just changed into social evolution where smart people have higher social status.  I hope for the sake of the human race that evolution is still around.

I am filling out the UC applications right now and I saw that you self report your grades.  It seems that this would be abused a lot by students to try to get a better chance of getting into college.  So how does the UC system make sure people do not cheat like this.  They have sooooo many applicants that there is no way to confirm all the grades and if they were going to do that wh  Read More »

People talk a lot about the hardest schools to get into and often times the harder the school is to get into the better education you will get from it.  Well apparently the Naval, Army, and Airforce Acadamies are some of the hardest schools to get into in the nation.  In fact they are as hard to get into as schools like Harvard.  So does this mean you will get an amazing education from these schools or are they so popular because they are free. I am not really sure why people want to go to these schools for college so badly.  I have a friend that goes to Navy and he has to wake up at 5:00 am every morning and has to run something like five miles.  Read More »

As I see it Title 9 does not work very well right now.  I know a girl who gets multiple pairs of team shoes and sweat suits just because they don’t know what else to do with all the money they have because of Title 9.  Although I do think that it is good to help women get into sports in college I do not think that self-supporting men’s sports should be included in Title 9.  Read More »
