The Pope's Pilgrimage, Al-Queda calls it part of a “crusader campaign”.
Pope Benedict went to Turkey to reach out to the christian minority and also to preach religious tolerance. The Pope said “I have wanted to convey my personal love and spiritual closeness, together with that of the universal church, to the Christian community here in Turkey, a small minority which faces many challenges and difficulties daily”
In response to the Pope's statement the Al-Queda in Iraq said “The pope’s visit, in fact, is to consolidate the crusader campaign against the lands of Islam after the failure of the crusader leaders ... Read More »

San Diego city council bans Wal-Mart.
In a 5-3 vote the San Diego city council banned stores with more than 90,000 square feet that use more than 10% of thier space to sell groceries and other merchandise that does not have sales tax. The council is also putting 50,000 square foot stores through more scrutiny. This ban is aimed at Wal-Mart Supercenters spacifically. They even made a loop hole for stores like Costco and Sam's Club saying that the ban does not include membership stores.
I think that this will be a good thing for the city. Wal-Marts just destroy all the little businesses around them and cause trafic in cities. Read More »

Can a champion be humble?
I play water polo and all of my friends that play on the national team probably do not even know what the word humble means. Also in watching professional sports I have not really seen any humble players, but would I be humble if I was the best at what I did. It is hard to say, with people always talking about how good you are wouldn't it be hard not to let it get to your head. I think it would so that brings up the question, is it possible to be humble when you are the best at what you do? I think it is but it is very rare. For example L.T. Read More »
