Just got off work at the factory I work at. I use air tools to trim aluminum castings. The physical labor sure does suck, and it really isn't worth $9.00 per hour. At the main factory in Iowa, they make about $12 per hour doing what I do. I'm just glad today wasn't a very hot day, the fan was actually blowing cool air. All I know is I am ready to quit my job on the 26th and start my new part time job on the 30th. The reason behind this switch is so I can focus more time on my education. My whole plan is to further my education so i'm not left working in a factory the rest of my life. There's no way I could do it, I would lose my mind. Ready to start school!
I am very excited to be enrolled in school. I take my ACT Compass Placement exam on the 24th. I bought an ACT study book at Barnes and Noble bookstore on Sunday. I have done a few of the practices tests. I do pretty good at the english portion, done a few of these tests on Sunday. I did 45 questions, and got 43 of them correct. So I'm not too worried about that. But tonight I did a few of the math questions. Wow, I didn't realize how hard math was if you haven't done it in five years. It almost makes me feel stupid doing these questions in the practice book. It's a good book though, it has the answers and it explains the answers. Life on July 19, 2007
Well, today is July 19, 2007. I have been in the 41st Judicial Drug Court since May 7th, 2007 now. This program has helped me out a lot in life. The reason I am in this program is because I had a problem with drugs. My drug of choice was marijuana, and on March 10th, I got arrested for having a half pound of marijuana.
For the first couple of months after I got arrested, I was pretty heated about getting in trouble and that I wouldn't be able to smoke weed anymore. But now that I have been in drug court for about 3 months now, I am glad that I got in trouble. Read More »
