In history we just finished up learning about the Vietnam War.

A few weeks ago a friend of mine told me that she didn't want to meet some of my friends because she "Doesn't feel comfortable around white people."
I was shocked for several reasons. First, what she said was completely idiotic because I'm mostly white. Another reason was the fact that she assumed that my friends were white, even though they really weren't.

Driving is probably the scariest thing I have ever done.
I realized this when I was driving home today. I had never driven when it is really windy, so I was really afraid.

I find it so fascinating how everyone thinks that since someone is homeless, they must have done something, like drugs or alcohol, to get that way. It's not true. 49% of homeless people is women, children, and families, and only 26% are substance abusers.

My parents just found out about my brother smokes hookah. They figured that since he was on his own and in college, it was his decision, but they don't agree with it.
I felt bad because I had known about it for months and I didn't tell them. Was I a bad sister? Or was I being a good sister?

I don't know how many people know about it, but the Patriot Acts are acts that violate our constitutional rights. Did you know that you can be arrested, and the police can refuse to tell you what your being arrested for because you are a suspected terrorist? They can bug your phones, too, and they can listen into your private conversations.

The kids in my sister's class want to grow up too fast.
They have their cell phones and their boyfriends.
They have their myspace pages which say that they're 16 years old.
They have their short shorts and their sunglasses on.
They have their ipods on with their oh so cool music.
Oh yes they're so cool.
They're the most popular kids in school.

It affects everyone. Bad air quality affects everyone. Don't just blame it on the smokers, because it's everyone's fault.
Everyone drives cars. Cars are the main source of air pollution. The worst part about cars is that the pollution that they let out is hard to trace, and the problem is hard to solve. At least, that is what people say.
