Today I went shopping at Plato's Closet. If you have never heard of this place it is a store that buys name brand clothing and sells the clothes for extremely cheap prices. I think it is a great idea. In a world that is label-driven you can have your cake and eat it too. I don't know why there aren't more places like this.

Dismemeberment - and that's just the beginning.
I live in Michigan so the news of Tara Grant being murdered and dismembered was very disturbing to me. I cannot fathom how someone can cut up their wife and stuff them in the garage. What kind of world is it that we do these things?

Get Involved
I am involved in a couple clubs but would like to feel as though I am contributing more to the community. I am in NHS, Politics Club, and Earth Club. I enjoy being a part but the only club in which I actually do something is NHS. How do we make clubs more involved and effective?

Ever Think It Might Be About More Than Just A Name Tag?
One of my favorite teachers recently was fired. The school was implimenting a new policy that required teachers to wear name tags in case of emergency. This particular school has less than 400 students and each and every one of them know each and every teacher. Mr. Walters, a teacher known for his charisma and knowledge, disagreed with this name tag policy.

If I Had A Million Dollars....
I was thinking today about what the effects would be if I were to win the lottery. We all have dreams of striking it big but what would really happen if we did? I think there are a couple of categories people would fall into:
1) Hard up that sticks all the cash in the bank.
2) Frivolous idiot that blows it all.

Obama Drops A Bomb
I was listening to the news yesterday and what I heard completely inspired me. Apparently Obama was quoted in a speech pretty much giving Americans a kick in the butt. He said (I'm paraphrasing, don't quote me) for people to turn off their TV's and get active. Parents have checked out and kids have been caught up in trouble.

Global Warming Fools Americans
Newsmakers have beat a dead horse on global warming. The media has made us believe that in a short number of years the world will heat up, melt the icecaps and the water will swallow the U.S.
