President Bush = Next Messiah?

Tagged:  •

Bush needs some brains.  Freaking idiot-man.  I don't think I've ever seen someone stupider in office than this man.  Granted, I guess I'd try to achieve a lot of my father was a past president and got me into Harvard Business school after a stint with narcotics and crappy grades in high school.

His policies suck.  Iraq is a disaster and the whole world is laughing at us...except Osama.  He's beyond laughter.  Read More »

Materialism...big deal.

The United States is progressively persuing more and more materialistic developments in the world.  Not only does everyone wear polos, but they must wear the thirty dollar (if you're lucky) ones in order to "fit in."  And for this I have to say:  WHO CARES?!

Do what you want with your money, I personally rather spend it on other things, but if you want to spend $112  on a sweater, go ahead.  I'm not going to stop you and I wish other people would stop complaining on what you do with your money.

Christian Nonsense

I am very fortunate to have part-time employment at a place where I can also blog for a better, more prosperous (ah, shameless plug, oy!) future, but I have to admit I don't know what I got myself into.  I work for a Christian organization who hired me based on my resume of being an efficient worker (and, who could deny how efficient I am...as I am being paid to type right now).  This inside view of the Christian world has given me particular views on the Christian ways.  Read More »

A little insight.

This is me.

  • The name's Brianne and I'm third in my class.
  • I have a full scholarship to Penn State University.
  • I sing in the chorus, for which I am president of, and I am the editor of the newspaper.  I
  •  love fiction and the imagination.
  • I never live in reality.
  • I think the world would be better if we sat back and listened to ourselves rant and rave and realize how stupid we sound sometimes.
  • I love indie music because it doesn't scream about unkept suburbian life, but everything.  Plus, it doesn't make my head hurt when I turn it up really loud.
  • I attend college part time my senior year in high school because my school is retarded and couldn't think of a way to educate the advanced people who already scored high on their APs early in their career.
  • I don't take many things seriously because it's just so dumb.  Like, the Bush Administration.
  • I'm PRO peace and already against the next war.
  • I'm very weary of government control.
  • Screw censorship.

Just felt like reiterating some things that might not be completely apparent in my posts or comments.

Knowledge IS power when it comes to depression.

Tagged:  •

Ever been in the world's worst mood?  Or, possibly have been depressed and unhappy for a very long time?  I know I have been, and I wish I could change it.  Over eight months ago I was in a long relationship with someone who dumped me for another girl.  I see the girl everyday, and I am completely self-sufficient.  But I just can't stand seeing her.  I'm very against violence of any kind, I'm extremely laid back when it comes to stress, but this girl makes me want to cry or punch something.  I usually end up doing the first, but I'm really worried that sometime soon I'll end up doing something I regret.  Read More »

Pat Robertson leads the new Crusades

I put this under "better future" because it will be a lot brighter when Pat Robertson never pushes his rightist, Christian propaganda.  He's horribly hypocritical.  I first heard of him when he claimed that Arafat had a brain tumor because of his non-terroristic actions.  Hmm. Sounds like a man with an agenda.  Pat Robertson CLAIMS he knows what God is thinking, am I right?  That he knows why certian people are being smited?  Should he be allowed to reign uncontrollably over the tele-evenangelists around the country?  He is starting his own Christian cult, in my opinion.  (insert Opus Dei joke here).  Read More »

Let's blame the media for everything!

In a noisy room, everyone crowds around the paper.  The front page says it all :  DEATH OF AMERICAN SOLIDER.  A picture of his limp body coats the newsprint.  Is this really acceptable behaivor?  Inside, a picture of the bootylicious J. Lo takes up the entire section.  She's getting married, gee whiz.  Is this really what we've come to?

I'm sick of this arguement.  I don't like that pictures of dead people are printed in the newspapers, but we're so desenitized anyway, it doesn't really matter.  And newspapers are primarily businesses, what with the Telecommunications Act, they need to fend for themselves as entreprenuers before they can deliver news.  You can't expect the media to be true and honest and dedicated when people like Pat Roberston aren't even true, honest and dedicated to their causes themselves.  Read More »
