Fight for a cause. Fight for something that’ll make the world a better place. I’m not talking about writing research papers for English class or signing online petitions. I mean giving money, forming groups, making signs and parading around with them, writing letters, and spreading the word. It doesn’t have to make waves and it doesn’t have to consume your entire life.
I went to see American Gangster this weekend, more out of support for Denzel Washington than a desire to see another shoot ‘em up movie. Halfway through the movie, I realized that there was a whirring noise behind me, and it wasn’t going away. Usually, unless someone is talking, I don’t turn around to investigate anything that goes on in a movie theater.

I wrote this a little while back, it was intended as a 1 year anniversory gift. I thought since progressive bloggers focus so hard on serious, and sometimes, covtroversial topics, it was time for a little love.
