A Bad Seed: The Portrait of A Child As A Murderer

My latest writing endeavor has two basic questions: Can a child harbor the thoughts of a murderer and or serial killer? and Can they change their ways or are they just a "bad seed"?

When I read books, I write the ending as I read. I set characters up the way I see fit, or the way I think the author should. The author and I rarely have the same view points or ideas.
