Legislative and Lobbying Transparency Act of 2007

I have spent the last two days researching as much about the S1 LEGISLATIVE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT OF 2007. My opinion continually flip-flopped two or three times because of conflicting information.

Do you want to pay for internet censorship?

I heard the term internet neutrality a handful of times before I decided to research it. I came to find that right now in the 110th United States Congress has a bill being introduced that would make the conglomerate telecommunications companies such as Comcast, Verizon and AT&T the sole controllers of the internet. I could attempt to explain it and bore you, or you could go to http://www.savetheinternet.com/ and watch the 4 minute video. This website also offers a avenue for those that claim excuses for not acting. You can register and send your senators an automotic e-mail if you like. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

America is run by a banking cartel!

Thomas Jefferson once warned, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” Even though
Jefferson made that statement over 230 years ago, he was warning us against what we now know as the Federal Reserve System. When individuals are asked what the Federal Reserve System is, the reply is often a crinkled brow of thought then a puzzled shoulder shrug. Some people will manage to mention that the Federal Reserve (FED) is a government agency that controls the issuance and regulation of our money supply. The FED does control our money supply, and implements the nation’s fiscal policy but it is not a government agency. The Federal Reserve System is one of the most powerful private banking cartels in the World and it has financially enslaved the people of the
United States for almost a century now. Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company said, “It is well enough that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be revolution before tomorrow morning.”

The Judicial Branch: our last hope?

Tagged:  •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •    •

As I watch the events unfold in this nation I am can't help but feel hopeless in the face of an omnipotent enemy.  The social, economic, educational and political pressures weighing down on me at time seem to push my limitations.  Lately I have been feeling more optimistic due to the internet being abundant in fellow Americans that not only feel similar to me but are doing something about it. I have often wondered what I could do as an individual to help in the cause of  creating a just and philanthropistic government. I tried contacting my representative who managed to phone dodge me 5 times before I had to leave a message with his secretary. I tried writting blogs in the issues but very few people read them, it seems our liberties are not as important as bashing others for their personal beliefs. I am not going to stop writting about the real issues that conveniently get skipped in most mega-media instruments with hidden agendas and strong political ties. I simply educate myself via the internet and the hardwork of the too numerous to list alternitive media sites. The objective is to be critical of these websites the same way we should be with our government, make your own logical deduction through the facts, not propaganda.

Video of UCLA student being tazered.

I hope by now that everyone has seen the video footage of the UCLA student getting tazered 6 times for not showing his ID to cops. This incident took place in the library on-campus. It just so happens that the student is of Middle-Eastern decent, right? Watch this video and listen to the kid scream in agony while the police continuelly ask him to get up. I have never been tazered but I have been schocked for a split second by 220VAc and it pretty much threw me. Most tazers are rated at 10's of thousands of volts and I just can't see how this student would be able to get up after prolonged shocks lasting a few seconds a shot. Eventually he passes out while the police drag him away and other students protest this. The end result was the student was released with no charges. This is why I stress to know your civil rights and the Bill of Rights. This student was correct in the fact that he does not have to show his ID to officers unless he is being charged with something, this is also true in the case of being pulled over while driving. The fact that his rights were violated and he was physically assaulted should be a straight shot to a courtroom, but with the Patriot Act I, Military Commissions Act and numerous other bills just waiting for congressional approval civil rights get swept under the rug of fascizm. Wow! I said it if you don't believe me look this bills up and if you can't understand the pages and pages of legal jargon, then they are doing what they were meant to do, keep us uninformed and at their whim. you are a citizen and you have rights, amongst those rights is the ability to contact your County, State,  and Federal Representative to tell them the issues that bother you most. If all of us make that call, how long can they continue to ignore us?

Bigger issues at hand!

If you happen to look or hear any mainstream media today you most likely heard about how the Democrats have taken control of the House of Representatives or the resignation of the Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. I too saw these headlines today but it was something in the very back of the local paper that caught my attention.  There was an article titled “Long lines, mischief make for slow voting” which didn’t catch me at first. I continued reading about problems with electronic voting machines, glitches, polls not be opened on time and even voter intimidation. I’m sorry but did I wake up in another country today? I thought the reason we are a Democratic Republic is because the people have the power to vote for whom they choose and that elected official then represents us.

Constitutional Rights

U.S.A. Patriot Act Notice

Currently Americans constitutional rights are under siege. The scary part about that is most Americans don't even know it.  I didn't know it until about 6 months ago when a close friend would call me and we would just talk about society and politics. I have always taken great interest at playing devil's advocate in conversation. When he would tell me things that sounded insane to me  I tried to debate them. Time after time he would prove my stances to be weak and uninformed.  He told me that the U.S. government, to some element,  was involved in the instigation of every major U.S. war since WWII. I said yeah right bro, and I'm Mark Twain. He then proceeded to show me documents, news articles and even in some cases video that didn't definitavly prove every single event, but it was damn close.  I started to do my own research and he helped me find the AP news articles that don't seem to make to TV or the newspapers. These are real articles by respected news agencies such as C-Net news. I will post my sources after this blog, please look for yourself, don't take my word for it.
