We are always hearing all this talk about social security and how we won't be able to have it when we retire. But that is just what they want you to think so they can change the program to be more benefical to the rich. But if they leave social security the way it is in 80 years it will still be able to pay 80% of the promised amounts. Sure we want all of our money, but isn't 80% better than nothing? If we let them change social security then it could possibly crash and then we won't recieve anything. To help improve it we could rasie the amount of money you have to pay on. I'm not exactly sure what the amount is right now but if we rasie the amount so that the rich would be paying more but not everyone else then that could help social security a whole bunch. So before you go and believe all the lies that they are telling just so they can change social security make sure you check your information!
