What is wrong with the American media? So what if the Vice-President shot his friend? The American media coverage has made me sick to my stomach. Just now, CNN's Situation Room spent 30 mins on Cheney's friendly fire. I don't understand, isn't there any better story to cover? I'm sure there is. it's sad that media today only cares about issues don't affect us that much such as the coverage of Michael Jackson's trial, the breakup of Nick and Jessica and now Dick Cheney? There are lot of stories out there that media should be covered such the genocide in Darfur. Does anybody know what happen there? I'm sure most of you don't. Why? Because the media is doing a poor job in spreading the awareness of it. It instead chooses to cover news that can help them bring more audience and of course more money from selling the advertising slot. Read More »

Why Kelly Clarkson?
Did you guys watch the Grammy last night? What do you think about it? For me, overall, it was great. I don't agree with some of the awards. For Record of the Year, Mariah Carey should have won. She had gone through ups and downs in 2000-2001. She came back with huge hits and fabulous songs.
Surprisingly, Kelly Clarkson won two grammys last night for (1) Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and (2) Best Pop Vocal Album. I don't think Clarkson should not have gotten these awards at all considering the fact that she did not thank American Idol, the most popular reality TV show of this planet that made her famous. The Hypocrisy of America: Gonzales Defends U.S Wiretapping Program
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales defends the U.S wiretapping program in front of the senate Judiciary Committee. He basically saying that "the president has the authority to order the warrantless eavesdropping program under the Constitution as commander-in-chief; and that, after Sept. 11, Congress authorized the president to use all necessary force to prevent future attacks." (NPR.org). Since when the United States of America allows a President to invade the privacy of the people? Read More »
Kobe's 81 Points Impact
Okay, so Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptor on January 22. Since then, there are a lot of media attention about him and his team. What a great publicity huh?
Well, few weeks after Bryant "success". There is this super talented female basketball player name Epiphanny Prince from Murry Bergtraum High School in New York. I believe many of you may have heard of her because she is the one who scored 113 points against Louis Brandeis on Feb 1 2006.
Epiphanny Prince is a fantastic player; no question about that. BUT. The team she was playing against with, was ranked second to last in their division. The score of the game was 137 (Bergtraum) to 32 (Brandeis). Do you see how bad Louis Brandeis is? Bergtraum is one of the best girls' basketball teams in the country. I don't understand why Bergtraum coach, Ed Grezinsky still let Prince played, knowing his team was going to win anyway? Here is the thing, Bergtraum was winning by 100 points. Grezinsky should have taken Prince out of the game and let younger players on his team to develop their basketball skills. Read More »
Are you ready to watch a movie about September 11 ?
I was reading an article from Associate Press on yahoo (site: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060201/ap_en_tv/tv9_11_movie) . It talked about how movies and documentary based on Flight 93 drew many viewers. Last night, it was the premier of A&E original movie, "Flight 93." According to the article, it drew 5.9 million views. This was the highest and most watched TV program in A&E history. The writer of the article assumed that people were ready to watch a document or a movie/ reenactment about the events of 9/11. This article got me thinking. Read More »
So what? The Hamas Won the Election
Warning:Please read this with open-mind. I don't mean to offend anyone. It's just my thought.
What is election? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, it means the "right, power, or privilege of making a choice." An election is a democratic process. It allows people from different walks of life to choose a leader who can represent them and their interests. The election in Palestine between Fatah and the so-called "terrorist" group, Hamas was fair and probably the first democratic election process in the country. At the end, Hamas won the election with a landslide victory. Read More »
Kobe Really?
I repost this from my current blog (www.shockerblazer.blog-city.com) which no one cares to read....I hope y'all enjoy it.
Did you guys watch Kobe Bryant score 81 points?
If you did, then you know what I am about to say.
I'm sorry if I offended any Kobe fan but he is a ball hog. He scored 81 points and 2 assists. He scored 55 points in the second half. He missed 19 shots. What does this say to the rest of the team? Team memebers aren't going to play basketball with him anymore. Let me tell you, from now on, no one is going to help Kobe score. They are more likely going to watch him play. Why? Because he socred 81 points. Lakers won on Sunday because of him. It's simple. The damage is done. Congratulations Kobe, you are now ruin your team confidence. Now they are going to pass that ball to you and expect you to take the shots, and brings "W" to the team. Read More »
