If I had the power to change something in my culture, it would be the superstitious people. I believe that if other people quit being superstitious then they will understand that eating beef is not a bad thing. I think there is nothing wrong about eating beef because we could eat other kinds of meat and are not considered a bad thing. The only reason why some people consider eating beef as wrong because in the past there were a massive killing of cows. Some people who practice Buddhism would believe that killing or eating a cow is sinful. They would most likely think that god will not tolerate with such cruelty and will punish them. The ones who believe that there will be a punishment don’t understand that it’s only their guilty conscience telling them it is wrong. Everything will be different if the Chinese understand that they do not deserve any punishment if they didn’t kill for the sake of killing. In other words, people kill the cows not for the sake of killing but because they need to survive by selling beef. I think those who kill for the sake of killing are wrong and sinful. Overall, a person will not be punished for their actions to save lives. For instance, a poor man killed his own cow to save his own family from dying of hunger.
