10 Things to My Former Self

Okay, here I go.

Ten-year-old self: (1) Boys don't matter right now. You should focus on doing well in school and building good social skills because you're going to need them. (2) Stop being a bully. Hostility doesn't make friends and you're going to regret picking on people when you're older. Don't slap Stevie and don't punch Tyrone.

Eleven to Thirteen-year-old self: (3) I'm so glad you were in band. You're one step closer to self-discipline. (4) Be careful not to get into the wrong crowd. Smoking, fighting, and getting into gangs isn't the way to go. (5) Do your homework and don't forge your dad's signature in your planner.

Fourteen-year-old self:(6) Congrats on quitting band and doing drama. :] Second greatest decision of your life, I promise. (7) Thanks for accepting Jesus into your heart. Thank Cloe and her family for taking you to church every Sunday. :]

Fifteen-year-old self: (8) Don't worry about junior high drama. Focus on doing well in JVDC.

Sixteen-year-old self: (9) Don't be emo. :[ Don't be so indie, either.

Seventeen-year-old self: (10) Don't be so self-conscious. God loves you.

Just a little something extra:

Eighteen-year-old self: (11) Family is really important. Don't worry about drama outside of your family. (12) Stop doing what you know you shouldn't be doing. (13) TAKE VOICE LESSONS! APPLY FOR JOBS TO PAY FOR VOICE LESSONS! (14) Don't take your job with Dolphin Productions too lightly. (15) Do more research on something before you decide to change your major. Hahaha

Nineteen-year-old self: (16) Your taste in music is developing. I'm glad for that. Don't be too cocky about it, though. People won't like that. (17) Listen to your mother. (18) Forget about Andrew. He's stupid. (19) Make sure you're absolutely sure of what you believe in before you start talking about it in Philosophy class. Oh yeah, do the reading and blurbs.
