One thing I know all of us can agree on is that the feeling you get when you wake up next to the person you love more than anything in the world is utterly amazing. It gives you a since of security and you know that you can always count on them to be there with you. Imagine this... you get so used to them being there and then one day you wake up and they're gone. You don't know when you will be able to see or hear from them again. You don't know if they are okay and there is nothing you can do about it. You just have to go on and live life and hope and pray that they are safe and you will be able to see them soon. I am a military girlfriend, soon to be military wife. I do believe that I have one of the hardest jobs in the world. I have so much respect for my fiance who is a MA/MP in the Navy. For those of you who don't know, that means he is a military policeman. I used to be blessed with waking up next to the one I love everyday until one day he was shipped out. There were months where I wouldn't be able to see or hear his voice. When I do get to hear his voice on the phone it's enough to cause streams of tears. You don't know how much you love someone until they are practically ripped away from you. My fiance puts his life on the line every day for his intire country and that is something to respect. Nobody forced him to join the military. It was his choice and he knew exactly what he was getting himself into. As I sit at home by myself it gets to be very hard. I am trying to go to college to better myself and also plan a wedding. I never know when I'm going to get that letter in the mail or the call that says I will forever be parted from the one I love more than anybody in the world. When you are put through something like this you realize how much you take people for granted. You realize how much you take a lot of things for granted such as your freedom and even your life. I don't see how people can shoot down the military, hate the America, or want to take their lives away. Being a future Navy wife, I want to live every day like it's my last. I want to treat others as if it were the last time I would ever see them again. I stand up during the National Anthem and proudly sing along. I support those in the military that like I said, put their lives at risk everyday. They don't do it for themselves. They do it for their families. They do it for their country. They do it for you.
BY FAR THE HARDEST JOB IN THE WORLD
