War, sex, religion, politics, literature, family structure, status, school, media, this blog, it’s all an absurd attempt to gain control, control which does not exist. Our entire existence gravitates around an unattainable concept. Society is an endeavor towards control from the day we are born until the day we die. Too many lives are spent wasted on a false truth.
All societies create expectancies; anything, or anyone which does not follow the self prescribed normalcy is then pushed away, swept under the rug. Every minority group to immigrate to America has undergone a backlash of racism. Those in society who hold different lifestyle’s than the majority are constantly persecuted. Poverty, crime, and those who are not like us are constantly alienated by society. The examination of this everlasting trend of exclusion and persecution reveals that, simply, it is our basic human instinct to fear that which we do not understand.
Control has become humanities collective delusion to which we eagerly obey. Societies drive, needs, and wants have all become an attempt to mask a truth mankind simply cannot accept. Members of society who have recognized this madness often flee, but this exodus in attempt of truth merely intensifies the mask. You cannot run, you must stay and create a culture of truth amidst a scramble for power. The artificial society we have become represents the shadow of possibility we hold as a species.
The collective conscious prefers a show rather than substance. The fall of our generation will be this desperate attempt to hold beauty, rather than truth. Only after our descent will we realize there is no worth in exterior. There is no gain in a pretty lie; unfortunately that is what our society lays power in, a lie with a shiny, beautiful, false exterior. We exist, control does not. Letgo.
