So! This is my FIRST blog entry here on the site! Woot woot for me! :-) Just in case you didn't read my biography, or maybe you just need to be reminded of things over and over again like I usually do, I'm Ella, and I'm 19. I recently (well.... not really recently. About two months ago. That recently) finished my first year of college at Hamline University. I loved it! Except I had a few issues with stinky classes and a bad roommate. But thankfully I think I've resolved those things! I went into college thinking I was going to major in Theatre Arts and hopefully become a director. But that's changed a little bit, mostly becuause I don't like the theatre program at my school very much. So now I'm thinking that I will be double-majoring in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in English. I would really enjoy working in a museum some day, creating exhibits or something like that! I'm also very interested in history, but not really about like... the wars. I'm mostly just interested in the history of cultures. I love to learn about aboriginal groups from different places, and reading about the Native American tribes of America's past. My grandma is actually an historian in the Colorado Springs area, and I have been having interesting conversations with her about some of the things that have gone on in Colorado's past. Anywho, that was a very long paragraph just about what I'm planning to do with myself... to some extent.
As for my LAST year in high school, I had a lot of fun! Not like, get drunk and party all the time kind of fun. I'm not really in to the whole drinking-under-age thing. I actually think it's pretty stupid. No, I mean fun as in I had a great group of friends, with one in particular. Her name was Julie, and she was basically the best thing that happened to me in High School! Sadly, we chose different colleges to attend, and I'm not in our home town anymore, so I can't be there to see her this summer either. But we talk a lot, and can talk about anything. It's also fantastic because we can get together after being apart for so long and it seems as if no time has passed! Anywho, High School. I was a super major Theatre Geek back then. I did ALL of the school plays, and even directed some of my own. I was vice-president of the tech club, which was just a bunch of nerds getting together to do the lights and backstage stuff of the theatre department. It was a blast! I also went to Spain in my last year of high school, which was spectacular! It was a school sponsered trip, and one of my oldest friends was able to go with me! We had a ball going around the Northern part of Spain for 10 days! Basically, my last year of high school was just.... ENJOYABLE!!
And now for the LONELY part. I'm in bed. And I'm sad. Well.... not really... but I'm just alone so it's kinda depressing. But I have to get up for a 10-12 hour day at work tomorrow, so I must resign for the night!! PEACE OUT YALL!!!
